Short description

In this program you will discover a world of healthcare technologies. You will be informed about the latest developments in this field and you will learn how healthcare technology can benefit both patients and colleagues. You understand the importance of exercise and discover how to integrate activities. You will also learn how to practically apply healthcare technology using LEGO. You will receive practical tools to enrich your lessons. Finally, this program gives you an insight into Eindhoven as a technology city.


Learning outcomes

After this training program:

  • You have knowledge of various healthcare technologies, including home automation, e-health, robots, and other relevant technologies.
  • You know how to use these technologies for safety, fall prevention and improving the quality of life of people with dementia.
  • You know how to integrate this knowledge into your education for Healthcare & Welfare students.
  • You will go home with a concrete lesson about healthcare innovations and technology.



Daily program

Day 1

  • Check-in participants.
  • Stages of and approaches to dementia
  • Care technologies in dementia: Home automation, e-health, robots and other technologies, safety and fall prevention.
  • Visit sheltered accommodation and care centre.

Day 2

  • Last stage of life.
  • Dementia experience.
  • Creative ways to deal with people with dementia.
  • Importance of exercise and Eindhoven as a technology city.
  • Visit Vincent van Gogh cycle path and experience technology healthcare highlights.

Day 3

  • Implementation of the latest technologies in your lessons using the LEGO Serious Play method.
  • Final evaluation.
  • Certification.

Pricing

This training program costs € 615 per participant (VAT free). Travel and accommodation costs are not included.

Our training courses are eligible for funding by the Erasmus plus key action 1 (KA1 learning mobility of individuals).

This training starts with a minimum of 12 participants.
